The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Bermuda, Registered Charity #333, has been performing musical theatre since its first production, The Mikado, in 1972. Since that time it has produced 59 shows, including such well known shows as

  • Pirates of Penzance
  • South Pacific
  • Camelot
  • The Sound of Music
  • Annie (twice)
  • Oliver
  • Les Miserables
  • Carmen
  • Dreamgirls
  • Jesus Christ Superstar
  • The Wizard of Oz

The purposes of the Society are to promote, foster and develop an interest and participation in and as appreciation of theatre, music, song, dance and the related arts and, in furtherance of such purposes:

  1. To create, organize and produce theatrical and other presentations;
  2. To promote an environment of cultural diversity;
  3. To assist or cooperate with other organizations any of whose purposes are similar to or compatible with those of the Society;
  4. To provide or procure the provision of training, education and development programmes and opportunities;
  5. To raise funds, bu public solicitation or otherwise; and
  6. To provide scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial award or support
